Pathways to Membership - Winter Session

Are you interested in exploring Unitarian Universalism and getting to know others in our church community? Our Pathways to Membership series will be offered again soon. It consists of two classes held on separate Sundays: a brief 20 – 30 minute orientation, and a two-hour exploring membership class.

Membership: Getting Started - the first of two classes will be February 1st, at 11:45am - 12:15pm in the Sanctuary. You'll get to know other newcomers and receive a folder full of helpful information that includes a little homework (very little), in advance of the Exploring Membership Class that happens the next Sunday. There’s an optional tour of our buildings at the end of class.

The Exploring Membership class will be February 8th, 11:45am - 2:15pm starting in the sanctuary. There's time to ask Rev. Alan questions about the 12-minute YouTube video that's in the homework. You'll get to contemplate your spiritual history and hear from several church leaders. We provide lunch and childcare. If requesting childcare, please let us know a week in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

For those transferring membership from another UU church: an ideal time to sign our membership book, fill out a new member profile, and have your picture taken for our church directory would be immediately after church on February 8th. With your permission we will include your picture in our monthly newsletter, The Pioneer, where we introduce you to the congregation, (unless you prefer to submit a separate digital picture or prefer no picture). Notify Cindy or Lily to make the necessary arrangements. You will also be invited to participate in our annual new member recognition in May.
