Beyond Our Walls Special Announcement

Because of COVID-19, UUSG has re-examed its commitment to provide services to some Beyond Our Walls organizations. Most affected are Lazarus House and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Using the funds we raised in March, we were able to provide Lazarus House residents with a catered meal from Riganato Old World Grille (who generously split the cost with us), in addition to a special donation of $500 to use for their most critical needs. Thank you to all who donated!

For all of April our BOW collection will help the Northern Illinois Food Bank. We have already raised over $900! 

Your donations to Beyond Our Walls will be used to feed some of the most vulnerable in our community. If each family donates at least $10, UUSG can make a big difference in the lives of many people. Donations can be made via PayPal here, indicating BOW in the special note instructions. Otherwise, send your check to:

Note: While the church can not commit to sending a certain amount of volunteers to the Food Bank, individuals may consider volunteering if and when they are able so that the Food Bank can  continue to help provide food for our neighbors.
