The Welcoming Team invites newcomers to join us for our fall 2017 Pathway to Membership orientation on Sunday, October 15th. We'll begin with a light lunch at 12:30 in the Common Room. From 1:00 to 2:30, we'll share our unique spiritual journeys, be amazed at how many different beliefs fit into Unitarian Universalism, hear about our 7 Principles, and channel our UUSG forebears via the story of our congregation's 175-year history. (And yes, you'll have an opportunity to ring the bell if you want to).
Those who would like to stick around from 2:30 to 4:00 will learn about the privileges and responsibilities of becoming a member of UUSG. Folks who've participated in New UUs prior to 2017 but haven't yet signed our membership book are welcome to join us at 2:30. At the end of the afternoon, anyone who feels ready to commit to full voting member status may do so. Please note that attendees are under no obligation to sign The Book if the time is not yet right.
We will conduct the October 15th program with no minimum attendance requirement. Please RSVP here. If you require childcare in order to attend, please so indicate when you sign up. We need a minimum of 10 days' advance notice to make arrangements for paid nursery staff.
