Mental Health Ministry Presentation: #MeToo.
In October of 2017, actress Alyssa Milano posted a tweet asking women to speak up about their experiences with sexual assault and harassment with the hashtag #MeToo. Over the course of a few days, this hashtag exploded all over the world, as women shared their stories of sexual harassment and assault. The Mental Health Ministry at UUSG will be hosting a discussion of this movement on Sunday, April 15, at 1PM. We will talk about why this movement took hold at this particular time in history, and brainstorm ways how to keep the momentum going to protect and enhance women’s rights across the globe. The discussion is open to the public.
