The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Presentation
UU Society of Geneva
Social Justice Pizza Party and Presentation on The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
As artificial intelligence rapidly moves from hype to reality, its economic, societal, and environmental effects are becoming increasingly apparent. Powered by massive data centers, AI is driving increased energy demand and higher costs, with significant implications for climate change. Join us on Friday, April 24, for a pizza dinner at 6:15 pm, followed by a presentation at 7:00 p.m. Tom Coleman, Education Chair of the Chicago Metro Chapter of the Climate Reality Project, will explore what AI is today, what it may become in the future, and which companies are leading the AI revolution. He will also discuss how AI can transform productivity, its risks and limitations, its societal and infrastructure impacts, and what it will mean for the environment and our climate in the coming years. Both the program and dinner are free, but advance registration is required. Please sign up online at uusg.org/climate.
