Kids' & Craft Swap

Kids' & Craft Swap

UU Society of Geneva

The Kids’/Craft Swap is coming together!  A lot of items have already been dropped off but we still have room for more!  Bring your no longer needed kids’ clothes, games, toys, and books along with all your unused craft supplies so they can be used and enjoyed by others.  Adult clothing can be brought in too!  Our teens also need something to wear.

The last day to bring in items is Sunday, July 12th.  Browsing starts July 16th.  There will be lots of great stuff to take home.  Donated items include clothing of varying sizes, toys, lots of games for all ages (child through adult), bicycles, and a wagon, along with books for reading and books from the Critical Thinking Co.  There is also a great variety of crafting supplies.

A binder will be available to display pictures and contact information for any larger kid-related items that are for donation or to sell. There will also be a section in the binder for adult items our church family is looking to donate or sell.  For an adult example, there will be pictures of canning supplies and some gardening things in the binder.  Anyone interested in any items in the binder can contact the owner for more information.  We will not have space for these items so please do not bring them.

Specifics:

  • All items are free.  This swap is to help us reuse items we are no longer needing and are looking to donate.  For kids’/adult things you prefer to sell, bring a picture and price along with your contact information. We will post them in the binder so others can see it and contact you.

  • Drop-off: Now through Sunday, July 12th.  Items are being stored in the K-2 classroom.  Bring them on Sundays while you are already coming for service or, so not to continually disrupt Christine’s work duties, contact Kathy Becker to arrange a different time. (info below)

  • Browse: Thursday and Friday, July 16th and 17th from 3 – 9 PM, Saturday, July 18th from 9 AM – 2 PM, and Sunday, July 19th after service – Come browse and find some great stuff!

  • Items left after Sunday service will be boxed and donated to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet in Batavia.  Crafts items will go to the Humanitarian Service Project.

  • Volunteers are appreciated to assist with sorting, staffing, and boxing.

  • For more info or questions, contact Kathy Becker.
