Mental Health Ministry Presentation: Medical Aid in Dying

The national organization Compassion and Choices is the nation's leading advocate for Medical Aid in Dying. Over the last two decades they have successfully encouraged 10 states and D.C. to pass laws that allow people to choose this alternative, should they wish. The Illinois branch of C&C has been working toward achieving this goal in Illinois for nearly a decade now and they are finally ready to introduce the proposed legislation in the Illinois Legislature this year. This presentation, led by UUSG Member Colin Campbell, will cover the information that people need to know about medical aid in dying so that we can be informed as to exactly what it is, and is not.
